Property listings in Australia are moving in a general downward trend. Just last week, the number of new properties coming on the market decreased by 11% while the total number of listed properties increased by 4.5% over the week. Therefore the number of properties that were re-listed increased by 6.9%.
Ulladulla and Districts have a great deal of attractions, not only are our local beaches great for swimming, surfing and relaxing, we also have a great display of spectacular, fun loving and boisterous dolphins.
What makes this so great is you can often see them from local beaches including Mollymook, Dolphin Point and Narrawallee, just to mention a few.
The construction of our new viewing platform at Ulladulla Harbour is well under way. This is just one stage in the redevelopment of our beautiful harbour. Improvements will continue throughout the Harbour area for some time.

We started our business "Private Sale Specialists" in mid 2006. Our system has worked very well, with 15 properties selling during that time. Since we began helping businesses sell privately last year, the "One Stop Hair Shop" at Burrill Lake has sold and other businesses are under negotiation.
As a measure of the success of the business we have decided it's time to branch out. Kerrie is in the process of moving to the far North Coast and will open a second branch of the Private Sale Specialists up there. Robyn is continuing operations on the South Coast. We are confident that our system of helping people sell privately will work just as well in its new location.
Mollymook Beach
Each quarter we will feature a suburb and publish an analysis of the market trend. This quarter, Mollymook Beach is our focus with informative and accurate statistics detailing the move in property trends.
We hope this will enable you to make informed decisions on selling and buying property on the South Coast, specifically within the Ulladulla and Districts region.
Between September 07 and December 07 the market median prices in Mollymook and Mollymook Beach have remained static.
Movement over the Past Year
Everyone is asking the big question - are interest rates going to rise again this month?
The interest rates from October 2006 through to February 2008 are in the graph below.
The main reason behind the latest rate rise on 5 February, according to the Reserve Bank, is inflation. The Reserve Bank wants to keep inflation between 2% to 3%. Two key inflationary rates are: CPI inflation & Core Inflation.
CPI Inflation:
In one sentence CPI Inflation measures the average price of a standard "basket" of goods and services consumed by a typical family.
Core Inflation:
In one sentence Core Inflation measures the change in average consumer prices after excluding from the CPI certain items with volatile price movements.
To predict the future trend:
Core inflation is often used as an indicator of the long-term inflation trend and as an indicator of future inflation.
Another Successful Show
The Milton Show is a much loved annual event. Unfortunately this year there were no horse events due to last years outbreak of the horse flu.
Animal lovers did not miss out though as the dogs stepped in to fill the gap.
On Friday there was an obedience and agility demonstration by the Milton Dog
Club followed by a pet show; and on Saturday spectators were delighted to watch Jack Russell races, agility and fly ball competitions by some of the country's
best and fastest dogs.
The show also had all the usual wonderful produce and livestock displays, rides, food, sideshows, activities and showbags.
Each year gets better and better!
